Mary & House of Fraser

Brand Page for Mary Portas within the House of Fraser website, accompanying the launch of her Channel 4 series “Mary Queen of Frocks”. The page was made out of a combination of static and dynamic content like videos, tumblr and twitter feeds as well as slideshows. It was coded in HTML5 and utilised jQuery including some custom plugins.

British Library: Growing Knowledge Exhibition

Flash application visualising survey data about research behaviour using the metaphor of flocking butterflies.
The collaboration project was shown on large LCD screens as part of the Growing Knowledge exhibition at the British Library (12 October 2010 – 16 July 2011) as well as embedded into the accompanying BBC microsite.

Radioplayer Prototype

Flash prototype for testing and demonstrating design proposals as well as user interactions. The Radioplayer project is a collaboration between BBC and commercial radio stations with the aim to offer a common console for both live and on-demand online radio.

Concord Videoswitcher Prototype

Flash prototype for user testing for the first release of the TV Platforms product Concord. Concord is supposed to be a template‐driven configurable TV application and the initial release is a video switcher application that will be deployed on the freesat platform.

Audio & Music IPTV Demo

Linear Flash movie demoing a concept for radio on IPTV. Similar to the Olympics IPTV Demo this is also an animated presentation with break points which moves on on key press. Main challenge was the organisation of the audio bits as their order and whether they loop depends on how quickly the presenter of the demo is moving on with the story line.

BBC News World

Screensaver developed in Flash as a learning project to get familiar with AS3, PureMVC and the 3D library Away3D. The application utilises Yahoo Placemaker to add geo location data to the BBC News feed and displays the latest 10 items on a globe. As it is meant to be a screensaver, it is not handling any user interaction but instead cycles through the items automatically.
